Volunteering
Landscape Design Trust operates through a small staff and a dedicated group of volunteers. We are always looking to expand our team and have opportunities in the following areas:
Administration Providing general support ranging from database entry to routine correspondence.
Events Helping us to organise, publicise and review our annual programme of events, ranging from small workshops to national conferences.
Publicity Promoting our activities and expanding our mailing list.
Website Generating and updating content.
Community projects Working on projects which encourage hard to reach sections of the community, to be more engaged in the landscape and natural environment.
Writing Contributing to our journal or reviewing events and activities.
Wild Card If you are interested in pursuing another area of activity let us know – we always do our best to match people’s experience and aspirations with opportunities.
Please contact us if you have a few hours or more to spare and would be interested in working with the Trust. Although these positions are unpaid, they provide great work experience and a way of making connections with other people interested in landscape. We reimburse reasonable out of pocket expenses, provide our regular volunteers with a copy of Green Places journal and reserve a number of free volunteer places on our workshops and conferences.

Our bookshop contains an extensive and unique collection of titles on landscape related topics.
